DolphinTM is teaming with Dearborne International and Women In Business Development Inc. (WIBDI) of Samoa to assist on providing opportunities for rural and vulnerable people and families to earn an income where they live and with the resources they have at their disposal such as coconut oil production and cocoa harvesting. WIBDI has identified opportunities for income generation and to provide rural families with on-going training, supervision and support; provide access to microfinance; assist with organic and fair trade certification to international standards; and facilitate links between rural communities and global markets. Currently DolphinTM and Dearborne International are assisting our host family on Savaii set-up the processing of virgin coconut oil (Currently exported to UK, The Body Shop) to see the process from start to finish.
DolphinTM and Dearborne International is working with the USDA to provide assistance to tropical US territories and islands similar to Samoa to set-up the same processing sites for families to make an honest living. WIBDI of Samoa will become a huge partner in getting these new projects up in areas such as; American Samoa, Micronesia, Guam, Commonwealth of the Mariana Islands, Republic of Palau, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Island of Chuuk, Island of Kosrae, Island of Yap.
