Define Community Development
Why do people need to define themselves with religion?
religions of all kinds are just beliefs. Its a very natural thing to want to belong to a group, and religion is good for that purpose as we are social creatures and religion helps us feel far from alone.
But now we have reached the point in our social development where we have no need or the church to lean on surely we should be moving away from the faiths that exclude others, or think that their beliefs are the one true way, and instead moving towards a more community centered idea, one that brings people of all faiths or people with no faiths together.
Why go to church and listen to passages from the bible or koran even with a pastor interpreting the text for the modern day it wont be current. If we moved on from, IMO, the outdated religions of old we could create something that truly spoke to everyone and make the world a better place.
