Economic Development Degree
Can anyone help me with U.S. history?
1) To what Degree was religious tolerance practiced in the various colonies of North and South America.
2) Compare tge patterns of governance and economic development among the French, Spanish, and English settlements. To what extent ddid the colonists in each area alter these patterns?
The first Synagogue was fairly early in Rhode Island. this indicates tolerance not just between Christians, but also outside of Christianity. Latin America was not so much intolerant as it was a place where different faiths lacked an opportunity to gain a foothold.
2) The Spanish relied on a centralized political and economic authority. This presented obvious problems in a far flung land. The French were in the New World for business and not much else. this lent itself well to friendly relations with the Indians. The English brought a lot of people, resulting in a large but individuality oriented society.
