Economic Development Developing Countries

How can the U.S. promote sustainable development and economic growth in developing countries?

Brian….;
What would be the point of this, Brian? The US helps develop countries, that then become the recipients of the latest cheap labor manufacturing centers? The US has done that, and all we have to show for the effort is a loss in manufacturing jobs, a stagnating economy, and new enemies in the UN.
True economic development must produce a viable middle class that is large and can afford to purchase the manufactures of its own country. Developing countries that produce more than they can consume export their products and the result is price pressures on these commodities around the world. The manufacturers in the importing countries transfer their manufacturing to the developing, cheap labor, countries, and the cycle continues. Eventually the cheap labor becomes organized, demands higher wages and their jobs are lost to even cheaper labor markets.
