Introduction To Community Development

democracy has been opted as the best option for development, i don’t think it is hte nest for africa. do you?

democracy all over the world goes hand in hand with capitalism
but looking at the african setting, the people are not capitalist inclined. it has always been a communist community. the whole community looks to particular people in the community. the believe in communal work where everybody
is of the same class. the introduction of capitalism is a new culture to adjust to.
in the communal living the people lived under one authority who control everything though there were certain checks ,it kept them together for a common aim.
however the introduction of democracy and capitalism has erased the binding effect of the communism. it seem like african are now trying to find their feet. but they had a feet some years back. there can be develpment in africa it they adopt communism.
this is only my opinion, i hope to hear others too.

where do you start on Africas problems?
-artificiall countrys (the colonial powers joined opposing tribes together the idea being that the tribes would be too busy fighting each other to get together to kick out the invading imperilists) that dont have a sense of community and are more concerned about destroying the other tribe (due to centurys of distrust)
-corupting influences (the UN, CHINA< US , OIL COY's) bribing officials
-warlike nature
-catholic church (no to condoms YES to AIDS)
