Leadership In Community Development

What are my chances for UCSD?

Well first of all I am a senior.
My weighted gpa is 4.29. Overall gpa is 3.71
I recieved the eligibility in the local context thingy( top 4% of my high school)
Was a commended student in the National Merit Scholarship
I took all AP and honors classes except for Bio freshmen year, intro to computer science, multicultural arts and PE
Worked for 3 years as a lifeguard
Scored a 1970 on the SATs
Scored 770 for Math II Subject Test and a 740 for Biology Subject test
Have a little bit over 300 hours of community service
Attend a Youth Leadership Camp every year
And
2 years of Leo Club(never got elected to a position though)
Attended Advanced Talent Development Program where i took AP Econ at UC Berkeley and got a A.

Your GPA and SAT scores are above average in comparison to those who were admitted for 2006. The average GPA and SAT (Verbal/Math) were 3.93 and 1243, respectively (see link below under Indicator of Academic Performance). I think you have a good shot at all the UCs, not just UCSD and private universities also.

I don’t know your reasons why you have your heart set on UCSD but college is what you make out of it. I think you will also enjoy attending Berkeley or UCLA if you get accepted. Regardless of the school you choose, make sure to apply to enough of them (at least 5-6) so that at least you will have some choices.
