Does economic backround effect a persons social development?
Would a person who grows up poor be less social than somebody who grows up rich?
This is a very interesting question. I hope many people answer it. I have read Lost Ranger’s response. I agree with Lost Ranger that the social development of peron would depend upon many other factors as well. Being rich economically is only one part of the big equation. Other factors like a safe, nurturing environment are more potent factors than money alone. It must also be noted that generally speaking richer parents can more often provide safe nurturing environments for their children. Hence, your perception is superficially correct.
The following factors also affect a persons social development.
1. A person’s birth weight. Children who weigh less at birth have emotional, educational and developmental difficulties when compared with children of normal birth weight.
2. A person’s genetic make up can affect his social development. Children of well socialized parents tend to be more social than the children of Isolated parents.
