What Is Economics Development
Big events of world history…?
In my honors world history class, we have to write three things for each of the categories that are big in world history. the teacher said we can ask other people if we want. i just wanted to see what you all come up with. THANKS!
the categories are: politics, ideas, economics, cultural development, religion, roles of individuals, science technology, environment, and social life.
Here are a few (you can categorize them as you see fit):
The establishment of Christianity in Rome,
The Great Schism,
The Mongols’ invasion of China as well as their involvement in Russia/Eastern Europe,
Columbus and all that, especially: the introduction of the potato to the Old World (perhaps the most significant single “discovery” in modern history, not exaggerating – potatoes and their powerful impact on the world can be fit into every one of those categories you listed. They’re responsible for everything from the fact that Algeria is a French-speaking country to the existence of the Frito-Lay Corporation),
The development of Democracy in Greece,
Communism, especially in Russia and China,
When Hitler was rejected from art school, forcing him to settle for his back-up choice as evil dictator and the 20th century’s most famous serial killer,
Henry VIII’s creation of the Anglican Church via the highest-profile divorce until Paul McCartney and Heather Mills decided to upstage him,
Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation.
Those are just some ideas, sorry that they’re not very organized.
